Open
This opens an image.
Different format of images can be opened in the SalsaJ environment ( .bmp , .gif , .tif , .fits and .jpg are compatible).
Once you click on this button, the current directory is shown. You may then browse your directories to select the file associated to the image you want to choose. You may choose many images simultaneously within one directory, using e.g. Ctrl key (this may depend on each environment).
You can also directly slide the image over the window of SalsaJ.
The image(s) will open on your screen. Different configurations are available through the menu Window.
once you have opened an image, you should first check its properties using Image/properties.

N.B. : If you want to open a spectrum, you need to use Open Spectrum instead.
