Comenius Training sessions
If you are a teacher from the EU, you can apply for funding from your Comenius National Agency to attend these courses/seminars. The funding should (in principle) cover everything - course cost, accommodation, subsistence and travel.
The main goal of these training sessions and seminar are to re-awake the interest for science in the young generation with inquiry-based methods. Renewing of the teaching of science is fulfilled through astronomy as a well-established source of motivation, and through the use of new Information and Communication Technologies - ICT. Involving teachers in a variety of research-based astronomical projects, we will excite, enthuse and motivate them to teach science/technology/maths. The training is intended to enhance basic competencies of teachers and develop higher level skills and expertise, primarily in ICT, maths and physics area. The EU-HOU project will provide the opportunity for trained teachers to get involved in stimulating international collaborations and to enthuse their pupils to study sciences/technology/maths at a higher level.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE CHANGES IN NEW PROGRAMME ERASMUS PLUS, the 26 March - 1st April 2014 will be the last session proposed in theComenius/Gruntdvig scheme.

- To pre-register, they have to fill and send the above pre-registration form by email to EUHOU at training@euhou.net. (or trainingradio@euhou.net). The UPMC administration will then send them a pre-registration certificate.
- With this certificate, they have to apply for a Comenius or Grundtvig grant through their Lifelong Learning Programme national agency.
- When they get their grant, they have to confirm their registration by email: training@euhou.net.
Once the candidates got the response from their national agency, they are kindly asked to let us know at training@euhou.net if they maintain their application. For the first training session, we are waiting for these confirmations to establish the list of participants and to let you know early September if we effectively open this course. We will then advise you a list of hotels, and will send you more practical informations about the organisation of the training.
BE CAUTIOUS THERE HAS BEEN SOME ERRORS IN THE VALIDATION OF THE TRAINING SESSION ON THE MAIN CATALOGUE: do not register to FR-2014-459-002, FR-2014-460-001, FR-2014-461-001, FR-2014-456-002.
